The Bird's Nest (National Stadium) is located at the northern end of Beijing's central axis. It was the main stadium for the 2008 Beijing Olympics. With its upscale atmosphere and numerous international events, it has become one of Beijing's new landmarks in recent years.
**Unique Exterior:** The stadium's exterior is woven from interlaced steel-like branches to form the shape of a "bird's nest." The auspicious cloud torch tower, originally located atop the Bird's Nest, has been moved to the Torch Plaza on the northeast side of the stadium and can be seen from outside.
**Interior:** The nearly 100,000 red-painted auditorium inside the Bird's Nest is quite spectacular. It also displays exhibits related to the Bird's Nest construction project and the Olympic theme. This is what you can see inside the Bird's Nest with a 50 yuan ticket.
